Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using FamApp, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

FamApp provides family coordination tools including real-time GPS location sharing, shared calendars, collaborative shopping lists, AI-powered gift suggestions (Gift Genie), and geofence-based arrival/departure alerts (FamPins).

3. Subscription Tiers

• FamApp Free (£0): 1 circle, up to 5 members, basic features, ad-supported. The free tier operates on a reciprocity model: you may optionally consent to personalised advertisements and affiliate recommendations in exchange for free access. You can manage these preferences at any time in your account settings.
• FamApp Pro (£2.49/month): Up to 3 circles, 10 members each, real-time tracking, FamPins, Gift Genie (10 uses/month), shared calendar, no ads.
• Clan Leader (£4.99/month): Unlimited circles and members, unlimited Gift Genie, priority location updates, FamHealth vault, background location.
• Clan Elder (£9.99/month): All Clan Leader features plus early access to new features, priority support, and family analytics dashboard.

Subscriptions are managed via Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You may cancel at any time through your platform's subscription management.

Auto-Renewal: All paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You will be charged the same amount as the original subscription price unless we notify you of a price change. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store (Apple) or Play Store (Google) settings.

4. GPS Location Tracking

FamApp's core functionality requires access to your device's GPS. By enabling location sharing, you consent to your real-time location being visible to members of your Family Circle. You can disable location sharing at any time. Background location tracking is only available on paid tiers and requires explicit permission.

5. AI-Generated Content

Gift Genie uses artificial intelligence to generate gift suggestions. These suggestions are provided "as-is" and FamApp does not guarantee their accuracy, availability, or suitability. Some suggestions may include affiliate links. FamApp may receive a commission from purchases made through these links at no additional cost to you.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use FamApp to: track individuals without their knowledge or consent; share location data with anyone outside your Family Circle; use the service for any unlawful purpose; or attempt to reverse-engineer the application.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of FamApp is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data including GPS coordinates and AI interactions.

8. Limitation of Liability

FamApp is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of location tracking, AI-generated content, or service interruptions.

Emergency Services Disclaimer: FamApp is NOT an emergency service and must not be relied upon in emergency situations. Location data displayed within FamApp may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable at any time. If you or someone you know is in danger, always contact your local emergency services directly (e.g. 999, 112, or 911). FamApp accepts no liability for any harm arising from reliance on the app in place of emergency services.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting help@famapp.co.uk.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification.
